What's the difference between Tier1 Optimal monthly and Tier1 Optimal annual upfront?

Tier1 Optimal monthly bills you $125 every month. Tier1 Optimal Annual Upfront lets you pay $1,375 once for a full 12 months of membership — you pay for 11 months at the standard rate, and month 12 is free as a commitment discount.

What does the Couples Plan include?

When two members of the same household enroll simultaneously, both receive a discount: Couples Optimal $119/month each (from $149), Couples Flex $159/month each (from $199), Couples Pro $239/month each (from $299). You each get the full clinical experience — Crystal as your dedicated clinician, personalized protocols, pharmaceutical-grade medication, the works.

Do we both need to enroll at the same time for the Couples Plan?

Yes — both members enroll simultaneously during the promotional period. If one partner is already a member and wants to add the other, both accounts drop to the Couples rate once the second enrollment is complete.

What if we're common-law, not married?

The Couples Plan is for same-household partners. Marriage certificates aren't required — shared address qualifies.

What counts as "same household"?

Same residential address. If you live together, you qualify. We don't require you to be married or on the same lease.

Each partner can choose the plan that fits their needs, but the Couples discount applies per tier. For example: one partner on Couples Optimal ($119/mo) and the other on Couples Pro ($239/mo) is totally fine.

Your membership covers the complete concierge experience around your clinical care: platform access, scheduling, administrative coordination, prescription management, pharmacy liaison, medication delivery logistics, insurance guidance, 24/7 AI concierge support from Ava, and patient education resources. Crystal's clinical assessments, prescribing, and monitoring happen under her independent scope of practice as a Nurse Practitioner.

Is medication included in the membership price?

No. Medication is separate and billed by the pharmacy. Many prescription medications, including testosterone and hormone replacement therapy, may be covered up to 100% by your workplace insurance provider. Brett can help you verify your coverage before you enroll.

Is bloodwork included?

Accepted Answer

Laboratory testing is coordinated through your membership but billed separately. OHIP covers many of the tests Crystal orders; others may be covered by private insurance, and some may require out-of-pocket payment. We work with LifeLabs and Dynacare locations across Ontario.

Is my first month really just my first consultation in disguise?

No — your first month is more than just the consultation. It covers: (1) your onboarding consultation with Brett (Clinic Manager), (2) your initial clinical assessment with Crystal (medical evaluation, lab requisition, protocol planning), and (3) your first month of membership benefits (platform access, coordination, concierge support). You're getting three things for one first-month payment.

What is Brett's onboarding call vs Crystal's clinical assessment?

Brett handles the administrative side: orienting you to the platform, walking you through the process, answering insurance questions. Crystal handles the clinical side: the actual medical assessment, bloodwork requisition, and treatment planning. Both happen in your first month.

What does "concierge" really mean here?

Think of the concierge like a great clinic receptionist — available 24/7. It's your point of contact for all the administrative side of your care: scheduling appointments, answering general questions about how the clinic works, helping you find a lab location for your bloodwork, and coordinating with Brett when you need him. Clinical questions still go through Crystal at your scheduled appointments — the concierge doesn't replace your clinician, it just means you always have someone responsive on the administrative side, not a voicemail inbox.

Can I speak to Crystal directly between appointments?

Clinical questions go through your scheduled consultations — that's when Crystal has the time to fully focus on your case. If something urgent comes up between appointments, the concierge can escalate to Brett, who coordinates with Crystal as needed.

Is HST included in the listed prices?

Accepted Answer

No. All prices shown are exclusive of applicable taxes. HST at the rate required by Ontario law will be added to your invoice at the time of payment. So Tier1 Optimal at $125/month becomes $125 + HST when billed.

How am I billed?

Accepted Answer

Monthly plans are billed monthly to the payment method on file. Annual upfront plans are billed once at enrollment. We accept credit card and debit card payments.

Can I expense the membership through work?

Accepted Answer

Depends on your employer and their wellness/medical benefits policy. Our invoices clearly identify the service, which helps. Some patients expense all or part of it under health spending accounts (HSAs) or wellness reimbursement programs.

Why is the first month collected at booking?

Accepted Answer

It reserves Crystal's time and covers your initial clinical assessment. If you cancel before your clinical assessment takes place, you get a full refund. If you cancel after, the first month's payment stands because Crystal's clinical services have been rendered.

Are there any hidden fees?

No hidden fees. Your invoice contains your monthly membership and HST — that's it. Medications are billed separately by the pharmacy. If you ever need extra services beyond what your plan includes, we'll always discuss pricing transparently before anything is charged.

What happens if my card gets declined?

We'll reach out via email and text to update your payment method. Your membership pauses if payment isn't resolved within 10 days — your prescriptions pause with it, so we try to catch you quickly.

Can I upgrade from Flex to Optimal or Pro?

Yes, anytime. Your transition is seamless and your new rate starts at the next billing cycle. Contact Brett to make the switch.

Can I switch to annual upfront later?

Yes. If you're on a monthly Optimal plan and want to convert to annual upfront, we'll credit any remaining portion of your current billing month toward the upfront payment. Contact Brett to coordinate.

What if prices change after I enroll?

We reserve the right to adjust pricing at any time with 30 days' written notice to affected members. You can cancel at any time before a price change takes effect with no penalty. This clause applies uniformly across all plans including the Couples Plan.
